Terrific pizza! Every pizza I've had was delicious. The crust is to die for and the staff is super sweet :) Salads are generous and fresh as well. We got 3 pizzas, one with meatball and caramelized onions, one with spicy sausage, pepperoni, spinach and caramelized onions, and one with onions, eggplant, and spinach. We also had two salads: one caesar and one mixed greens.
This was a great place for late night eats...My friends and I stopped here after a Halloween themed bar crawl we were hungry and this place did not disappoint the pizza was amazing and you can bring your own bottle. I look forward to returning again and trying some dessert. The people that work here are kind and friendly
amazing service, amazing pizza, amazing place. we love iggies and will be coming back in the very near future
I passed by Iggies a few times and was always curious. I had heard pretty good things about their pizza and then I finally heard from the Yelp grapevine that they have gluten free crust. I stopped by for a casual personal pizza one afternoon. I got the Alice pizza on gluten free crust and added pepperoni. It was pretty good! I liked the combination of the different cheeses and the types of pepperonis that they used - nice and small and curled up at the edges. While the toppings were delicious, I wasn't the biggest fan of the crust. It held up well and was nice and thin and crispy but it just wasn't my favorite GF crust I've ever had. The inside is cute but doesn't seem to get many eat-in customers. Besides the owners and his friends, we were the only people in there. Definitely seems like more of a takeout spot. They also have gelato but it didn't appear to be very gelato-ey. Don't expect anything authentic. I would return but I'm not in a rush.
We've been visiting Iggies for several months, and our first experience was outstanding. The staff welcomed us with complimentary tea - exceptional service! Everyone is friendly, and our orders have always been delicious. We've tried margherita pizza, funghi pizza, fungi portobello pizza, Caesar salad, chicken tenders, fries, and Create Your Own Pizza with spicy sausage and pepperoni. The high-quality sauce and toppings make it our go-to spot. However, I will not give a full five stars due to a recent visit when the owners were absent. We waited and stood there without acknowledgment from several staff present and left disappointed.
Iggies has become my go-to pizza spot in the city! They are super quick with walk in orders and every pizza has been enjoyable. You can find free street parking easily in the neighborhood and there's indoor and outdoor seating so this is a cute place to get together with friends or for a date. Vegetable Solo Pizza 4/5, I felt like this was just missing something but the veggies are exceptionally fresh and pair well together Vegetable Solo Pizza w/ cheese 5/5, omg yes this is the golden combo, my fave pizza from here! Cinque Formaggi Pizza - 3.5/5, this is a 5 cheese pizza, I thought this was a little too much cheese for my taste as it felt heavy but it wasn't bad
Is it possible for a restaurant to be "too nice?" If so, Iggie's is your spot. They are the nicest, most welcoming, most generous family-owned pizza shop I've ever seen. We've lived in the neighborhood for twelve years, and have seen Iggie's go down several paths, including a chicken and waffles iteration. Thank goodness it found it's way to this set of owners! They are the absolute best! They are so kind, so welcoming, and so hard working! And they never fail to give us the best eat-in experience! We will keep coming back, we will keep eating in, and we will be so thankful that we have such an amazing spot so close to home!
I love it here. Their cordial hospitality and warmth is rare in today's culture. I feel as if I have been transported to Gaeta on every visit, one of my best summers. They are exceedingly welcoming. It helps that I also love their pizza. It's delicious. You will never be disappointed here. They are my go to.
Ambiance: Very casual pizza place with order-at-counter style, and casual vibes. It isn't usually too crowded, so it is easy to get a seat, and it is not too loud either. I am also always tempted to get pizza here when I walk down the street as you can just smell the fresh pizza every single time as you walk by. There are a ton of dog photos on the wall, and I postulate that the restaurant might have been named after a dog-loving owner -- but I'm not sure! Service: If you're dining in, you order at the counter and the food comes to you. You can get water at a cooler, and you put away your own plates/utensils when done. Overall no complaints. Food: I almost always get the funghi/mushroom pizza. It is SO satisfying, delicious, warm, crunchy, and flavorful every single time. It is a pizza blanca, so not ideal if you're looking for more of a tomato sauce, but I don't care because it's delicious. The mushrooms are always flavorful (although I would love more!) and I quite enjoy the mix of the mozzarella spread across the pizza and topped with specs of goat cheese. It all hits together for a nice crunchy umami-packed bite. Even when I get takeout, I can't help but eat a slice on the way home to ensure I've enjoyed at least one freshest slice possible. As a vegetarian, I enjoy the attention to this delicious pizza. I've been going here since Fall of 2018 and plan to continue going back.
